Training is in fixed flux. Gone are the days when a instructor learnt all that is needed to know at academics' college. Lecturers have to be consistently upgrading their qualifications or enhancing their teaching skills by attending regular professional development. This was made plain to me after I grew to become a Head of Mathematics. One in every of my most essential duties was the professional development of my staff. However, that also meant that I had to embark on fixed professional development before I may fulfill my responsibility to develop my staff.
